Realfund is a platform allowing real estate companies to launch and manage Security Token Offerings (STOs) to receive funding from private investors.
They had launched their first MVP in September’20, tokenizing a flat in Barcelona valued at $75K with a white-label platform.
Realfund needed a platform to perform real estate analysis, management, tokenization and investment.
Real estate managers would be able to create ERC-20 tokens backed by real estate assets and offer those security tokens to private investors.
The biggest challenge is to give a good user experience for those users not familiar with cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
Real estate managers should be able to create real estate funding projects, manage the requests for investment from private investors, launch the STO and sell the ERC-20 tokens.
Private investors would need to explore projects and invest by buying tokens either with FIAT or crypto. Those tokens would need to be tradable in secondary exchanges. Revenue will be received either in their bank account or Ethereum wallet.
Realfund ensures that both projects and investors comply with KYC/AML regulations.
We performed what we called a Sprint Zero, to better understand the business goals, the user needs, and the product requirements. Sprint Zero is a user-centred approach that delivers the complete user experience with the user story maps, mockups and prototypes needed reduced uncertainty before coding.
Realfund public portal is a collection of responsive websites allowing investors to explore details about every investment project.
To invest, private investors are offered to wire-transfer FIAT money, pay with their ethereum wallets or rely on a custodial wallet service.
Private investors are offered a personal site to manage their investments.
We delivered a back-office for both real estate managers and Realfund administrators to perform their regular operations, plus KYC/AML compliance and ERC-20 token management.
At this stage, a Django admin dashboard was implemented, maximizing the return of investment to our customers.
Realfund is launching new real estate investment projects to potential investors with an expected number of three operations closed during 2021.
